Yesterday and today

This breathtaking site was bought by Andrew Gentle in 1808. The main reason for the choice of this lot was the clear water spring that flows from the hill. This spring supplied the house and barn with fresh water all year round. The stone house was built in 1842 by Hiriam Gentle who finished it in 1843.

Today the spring still supplies the house and barn with pure clear water and has never dried up. The walls of the Circa house are one meter thick and the original fire place is still functional.Gerald Goldie sold his farm to his daughter Constance Goldie and Clairmont Faille in 1980.

In 2001, the Barré Family became the new owners and to this day the historic site is operated by the family who believe in respecting the heritage.

In 2009 Patrick, one of the Barré's son, his wife Estelle and their three girls take over and so pursue the family tradition.
