Oven pork chops
6 pork chops
2 tsp (10ml) brown sugar;
½ tsp (2ml) salt;
1 tsp (5ml) dried mustard;
A few peppercorn;
2 tbsp (30ml) vinegar;
1½ cup (375ml) apple juice;
1 tbsp (15ml) corn starch;
¼ cup (60ml) cold water.
Preparation
Cook the pork chops on both sides.
Transfer into a roasting pan.
Add to the grease brow sugar and the five following ingredients.
Cook until the brown sugar is melted.
Pour on the pork chop.
Cook 1¼ hour at 350ºF (180ºC).
Remove from the oven and make the sauce.
Mix the corn starch and cold water.
Stir with the juice of the roasting pan on medium heat until sauce thickens.
